The Lessons of the Loess Plateau
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 08:05PM
(52 min) Covering an area that is the size of France, the Loess Plateau is home to more than 50 million very poor farmers who have suffered centuries of severe soil erosion, leading to massive environmental degradation and poverty. The film documents a remarkable paradigm shift: the rebirth of a self-sustaining ecosystem in the dry and remote Loess Plateau region of China, and identifies why and how a World Bank/government joint project has completely changed the landscape of the region.

I have seen a part of this documentary on BBC and found it interesting. The link here does no seem to work. Please could you tell me where else I could see it.
Thank You.
I was very impressed with the results of the Loess Project which rehabilitated 35,000 h. How many of the remaining 600,000 h of the Loess plateau require rehabilitation and are there any plans to rejuvenate them?
